As-salamu alaykum and welcome

Looking for marriage? You don’t have to do it alone.

A private introductions service for converts to Islam. During the pilot it is also open to men born into a Muslim family whom we approve. No public profiles and no open chat: every introduction goes through a facilitator, with a New Beginnings guardian involved.

How it works

  1. 1
Apply and check you’re eligibleIf you came to Islam, you’ve been Muslim for at least a year and you’re registered for Firm Foundations Level 1 (or an equivalent course).
  2. 2
Complete Illuminating Your Path to MarriageOur pre-marriage course is the main step. Before we introduce you to anyone, you finish its sessions and pass a short quiz on each.
  3. 3
Build your profileFrom the exercises you did on the course. Region only, and your photo stays blurred.
  4. 4
Get introducedYour facilitator suggests matches. There’s no browsing and no open chat, and you both have to say yes.
  5. 5
Verify, then meetOnce you both say yes we check ID, references and declarations. A guardian approves, then you have a chaperoned video call.

No guardian (wali)? You’re not on your own

Many women who come to Islam have no Muslim family to act as their guardian. That shouldn’t stop you. For every introduction, a trained New Beginnings guardian looks after your interests: they read the man’s verified details and references, can ask to speak with him before deciding, and must approve before you see his photo or meet. Your first meeting is a chaperoned video call.

Born into a Muslim family?

The service is for converts first. Because places in the pilot are limited, the only people born into a Muslim family who can join it are men, with extra conditions. You give us a reference from your imam and from someone outside your family who knows you, tell us whether your family knows you’re applying, and name a family member we may contact. You complete Illuminating Your Path to Marriage like everyone else, and we decide whether to approve you. Women choose whether they’re open to being introduced to men born into a Muslim family.

At the full launch, the service will be open to women and men born into a Muslim family. Women born into a Muslim family are welcome to join the interest list now, and we’ll email you when it opens.

Only members who meet our conditions can join, and only your facilitator sees your full details. It’s a free six-month pilot with places for 30 members.
Applications open on 1 January 2027. Join the interest list and we’ll email you when they do.
